CAN YOU SPOT WAKA? He's spying on Ammy as usual, waiting for the most (in)opportune moment to pop up and start acting like the pretentious prick he is.
When I was getting ready to draw this picture, I thought, "You know, I should really do something big and dramateek, with Amaterasu being godly and majestical and all. That's what a lot of people seem to be doing." But then I realized, Okami isn't all that dramatic, really. Every time it tries to be, Issun manages to derail the mood with one of his boob jokes or Ammy falls asleep. So instead, you get the Sasa Sparrows and their new-and improved Onsen.
Some things happening in the picture: Ammy is considering whether to actually take a bath. It is a frightening idea. Chun is wearing a swimming suit, and is enraptured by Issun. Issun wants Ammy to book it any direction away from that crazy Chun character. The famous self-immolating sparrow appears to be chasing one of the king's servants. For some reason. The king is indifferent, as always. I couldn't tell what hiragana is supposed to be on the lanterns in the game, so I added my own text instead. Two Kappas are chilling in the corner. Kappas aren't actually in the game, but THEY SHOULD BE. They're a mythological Japanese water creature. PS. The white thing on the Kappa's head is a towel.
I've got to say that I had so much fun doing this in the Okami style. Oh, and I am the queen of procrastination.

I'm never going to get to play this game Still... somehow, this pic, more than all the others I've seen, makes me want to play. And, I want to squish those Kappas! Especially the pudgey one. They're a great touch, whether they 'belong' or not.
Thanks so much! I'll bet it's fun to play on the Wii, I always wondered why they released it on PS2 instead of just Wii. I mean... brush, painting... duh!
